Trucks are not allowed
A complete ban on commercial vehicles is in effect on Interstate 195 from Exit 35 (Route 34 at Wall) to the east of Interstate 295 in the Town of Hamilton. This includes empty and straight CDL trucks, passenger vehicles pulling trailers, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and almost all tractor trailers.
Two accidents on GSP
NJ511.org reported two crashes on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County: a crash at 12:44 p.m. in the northbound local lanes of the parkway north of Exit 105 (Route 36 in Tinton Falls) and another at 12:46 p.m. Northbound local lanes south of Exit 109 (County Road 520 in Middletown). All trails are open at both sites.
The salad was out
About 4,000 JCP&L customers in Monmouth County experienced power outages during the storm, including 3,300 in Ocean Township. Utilities advise that power be restored at Ocean by 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Monmouth has more than anyone else in the state. There are about 9,000 JCP&L customers without power statewide, including nearly 3,000 in Warren County.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly reported snow was accumulating all the way to Cape May County, where Brick received 1 inch and Manasquan 1.2 inches as of 10:20 a.m. The snow began falling in Belmar around 6:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly. NY NJ PA Weather reported at 10:30 a.m. that 2.5 inches of snow had fallen in Freehold. It was still coming down at a speed of about half an inch per hour.
Lunch Break, a Red Bank nonprofit that provides food, clothing, mentoring and other services, will close today. This includes the dining room. People who need a hot meal can call 211, the group said.

Due to an icy road, a speed warning is in effect on the Garden State Parkway in both directions south of Exit 74 (County Road 614 in Lacey) to south of Exit 89A (Route 70 East n Lakewood), according to 511NJ.org.
Due to limited visibility, a 45 mph speed advisory is in effect on the Garden State Parkway in both directions from north of Exit 90 (County Road 549 and Chambers Bridge Road in Brick) to north of the Asbury Toll Plaza in Tinton Falls, according to 511NJ.org.
