Naples attorney John Passidomo dies after hiking accident in Utah

Naples attorney John Passdomo, husband of Florida Senate President Kathleen Passdomo, died Wednesday from injuries sustained Monday in a fall while walking along Utah Road.

The 72-year-old Passidomo was airlifted to a regional trauma center after suffering head trauma and other serious injuries while on a walk with his wife, Senate President Pro Tempore Dennis Baxley wrote in a memo to senators released Wednesday.

“After a thorough evaluation by top medical teams, his family was told he ‘would not survive,’” Baxley wrote.

Baxley added that his daughters “quickly traveled to Utah” where he died with them and Senator Passidomo by his side.

The memo explained that the Passidomos, originally from New Jersey, were fans of the law school. They were scheduled to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary in September. The two met at Stetson University Law School in Gulfport.
