There is currently severe congestion on the M4 in Bridgend.

According to traffic monitoring service, Inrix, there are traffic queues and one lane closed due to the incident on the M4 eastbound from the J36 A4061 in the Sarn service station area to the J35 A473 in Pencoed. South Wales Police have confirmed they were called to the scene following reports of a collision between two cars in the area.



The third track of the three is currently closed. The Wales Traffic Authority warned motorists of heavy congestion in the area, and advised them to plan ahead before travelling.

A South Wales Police spokesman said they were called to the scene at around 12.35pm. The police force said in a statement: “South Wales Police were called at 12.35pm this afternoon, Wednesday 8 November, to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the M4 at junction 36 eastbound. Emergency services continue to work at the scene.”
