California man arrested after ‘taking severed leg from train crash scene’

Terrifying footage showed the moment a man grabbed a human leg after it was amputated in a train accident.

Stunned onlookers were filmed from the road as Rosendo Tellez, 27, picked up his leg, snorted and waved it on the streets of Wasco, California.

Kern County sheriff’s deputies arrested Tellez near the railroad tracks on a misdemeanor charge of removing body parts from an area that is not a cemetery.

This came after an Amtrak train hit an unknown person on Friday morning, killing him instantly and having his leg amputated. Investigations into the death are continuing.

In footage of the alleged cannibalistic moment, several of the mayor’s vehicles descended on the Amtrak railroad tracks.

The area appears to have been still active since the person was struck by the train shortly after 8 a.m.

The man, identified by police as Tellez, was casually strolling down the street while holding his leg with one hand.

He then bent down, sniffed his leg, wiped his mouth and swung it as officers approached the disgusting incident.

Officials said Tellez was arrested without incident and was found to have several outstanding warrants.

Burlington Northern Santa Railroad confirmed to ABC23 that one of its trains was involved in the fatal collision.

They said the person was injured while standing in front of the Amtrak platform, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Tellez remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26.
